For years I have struggled to properly grip my regular laced reins. I had even resorted to knotting them in hopes of being able to hang on to them without letting them slip through my fingers. This modification helped minimally. I often had severely bruised fingers after challenging rides on my strong horses.
I have had multiple reconstructive hand surgeries and finger fusions in attempts to regain hand function, with minimal success. My advanced osteoarthritis had become debilitating. I was questioning if I would be able to safely continue riding?
By chance, I found the Correct Connect website and The Heather Comfort Connect Rein- Supportive Padded reins For Weak Hands and Better Connection. After one ride with these reins, I knew I would never use knotted reins again! I have regained my confidence to safely ride my two, large H/J warmbloods.
Since my original purchase, I have purchased two more sets of the Heather Comfort Connect Reins. I gave the third set, as a gift, to my trainer. She is also in love with these reins!

Great help for old hands

Absolutely lovely reins. Definitely make my contact softer and I do not allow my reins to slip as often as they did. I would have liked an additional “stop” nearer to the bit end of the rein
